I have been working in the mental health field, teaching people the skills they need to overcome life's challenges for more than 30 years.
I began my career working with the homeless population in Uptown, Chicago, which led me to specialize as a certified alcohol and drug counselor to better serve the community. I then expanded my focus to include mental health therapy; I used evidenced-based modalities such as psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills.

In 2013, I started a private practice to help adults who suffer from anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance abuse, addictions, and many more.

I was introduced to Internal Family Systems (IFS) Psychotherapy in 2019 and decided to continue developing my clinical work and psychotherapy skills in that paradigm. I find IFS to be very powerful and life-changing, allowing you to dig deep and reveal clarity in the behaviors and characteristics you may not like about yourself. IFS allows one to heal the wounds that keep one from moving forward in their life. It is about inner healing.
